Do your kids love spraying water? We have a job for them and for you!
Our fabulous school garden cannot thrive without water on hot summer days, so we are hoping to find enough volunteers to share in the fun of drenching the garden and keeping it lush:)
Besides all that fun, you will get a first-hand chance to harvest whatever you need and will be available at the time.
Anyone in the community is welcome to harvest from our garden during the summer - let all know!
If you can help out, please open the form below and mark all the weeks you will be available to help. We will assign you one of them. If there are enough volunteers, we will pair you up, so you can help each other out, if life gets in your way of watering.
*****Summer availability for watering*****
You will be given an access code to the shed and shown all the know-how at a time that works for you.
We are eternally grateful for your help!

VSB Committee I Presintation
Members of the Garibaldi Community:
I will be giving a 10 minute presentation to the VSB Committee I on Monday June 10 at 5 PM, in Room #120 of the Education Centre, 1580 West Broadway.
My presentation will address the VSB policies of A) not allowing out-of-catchment siblings to register with the incoming catchment students and B) changing the Garibaldi catchment area which currently divides the Garibaldi Community. If deemed worthy Committee I would then take my recommendations for policy change to the VSB Board of Trustees for a vote which if passed would then be implement as new policy.
Members of the public are welcome to attend VSB Committee meetings, though you can not speak unless you are on the agenda.
It would be great if people could attend to show their support for Garibaldi and my proposals. I am first on the agenda so if you are planning on attending make sure to get there on time or a bit early.
Kind Regards,
Joel Ronne
Garibaldi PAC Co-Chair

Meeting with Shane Simpson after School Friday June 7th
Shane Simpson our MLA will be coming to Garibaldi to meet with parents this Friday June 7th at 3:10PM.
It will be an informal chair circle under the covered area.
The central purpose of the meeting is to discuss Garibaldi admissions. The VSB is not currently allowing out of catchment students to register at Garibaldi. This includes at least 4 students who live 2 blocks away on Rossland, one of which is the sibling of an existing Garibaldi School.
Note: Shane Simpson was originally scheduled to come to our PAC meeting but was called to Victoria.
