The Sun and our watering volunteers have helped the garden really grow! There are purple bush beans, kale, herbs, calendula flowers, zucchinis and plenty of raspberries and some strawberries ready to be picked:)
Please, be gentle with the plants when picking and use the "2-handed picking" rule with your kids and yourself - Hold and support the plant with one hand, while picking with the other. This helps to minimize braking damage to plants.
Do not pick things that are still too small. In particular, kids are curious about our carrots and often pull them too early. Show them how small they are (or later, how big) by digging gently around the base of the carrot tops and then covering them up again.
Enjoy!
