Neighbourhood Small Grants - Deadline Extension

Breaking news from the Hastings North Community Partners Group - Additional funds have become available for our Community Small Grants Project.  Will will now extend our deadline for additional applications to  April 30th, 2012 at 4:00pm.  All new applications need to be dropped off at Hastings Community Centre no later than April 30th, 2012 at 4:00pm.

Click here to request a grant application, or download an application from our website at www.hastingsnorth.org.  Please ensure that your grant application is completed by two individuals who live within the physical boundaries as listed on the front page of the application.  Projects must also take place within these physical boundaries to be considered.

Thank you to those who have already submitted a Community Small Grant application.  This extension does not effect your current application.  All applicants will be notified no later than May 9th of their application status.  Please note that not all applicants will receive a grant.

Neighbourhood Small Grants
Do you live within the Cedar Cottage, Frog Hollow or Kiwassa Neighbourhood House areas?  Do you have great ideas to improve your neighbourhood or bring people together, but need a little support to help make them happen? Then you might want apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant!
Neighbourhood Small Grants are funded by the Vancouver Foundation.  The grants allow groups of two or more neighbours to apply for $50 - $500 to work together on small projects that benefit their neighbourhoods socially, physically, culturally or environmentally.  All kinds of projects can receive funding.  For example, you could paint a mural, plant a neighbourhood garden, teach a cooking or art class, put up a community bulletin board, celebrate a cultural holiday, host a music recital, hold a dialogue or talking circle, share a craft or skill, or have a block party.
Deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2012.
